When I began writing in my twenties, I concentrated on plays. Six of my works were produced. A number of these were shown at a variety of New York theaters, including Off-Broadway houses like Manhattan Theatre Club and Playwrights Horizons, and Off-Off Broadway at New York Stageworks and The West Side Theatre among others. Some were produced at regional theaters spread across the country, including Louisville Actors Theatre, Theatre Forty in Los Angeles, Victory Gardens in Chicago and others, My debut play, Reunion, was awarded high honors for outstanding playwriting by the Village Voice. Chemical Reactions was selected as one of the Best American Short Plays of 1986.

In my thirties, I moved on to a productive three decade career in the visual arts sector, working at top management in global auction houses and for some of the most important art collectors in the world.

In 2020, I returned to writing, focusing this time on narrative fiction. I developed a special focus on life in New York City between 1980 and the century's end, fascinated by the vast changes ocurring during that time period.

Over the past five years I wrote the trilogy that is featured on this site. All three books are being released in 2026 on launch dates in January, May and October. I hope you’ll follow along with Philip, Eleanor and Chris Sanders, a modern Hitchcockian family living (or dying) through a decade of loss and lies. You’ll be with them, deep in the Zone of Deceit.
