He didn't know that everything could end
in a flash.
Philip Sanders lost it all when his wife Ellie fell from 25,000 feet.
Then the evidence began to surface—and the truth became stranger than grief.
She wasn’t on the plane.
When he discovers that Ellie may still be alive and tied to the city’s darkest secrets, Philip is forced into a world of crime and ruthless power. The people who pursue him own the land, own the city, own the facts.
As Philip searches for life and death answers, he unravels not just Ellie’s identity, but his own. Every falsehood he exposes brings him closer to the truth.
But it’s not the whole truth.
And the truth is not the end.
Philip Sanders is entering the Zone of Deceit.

"Really intense...pulled me in right away!"
Goodreads
Philip Sanders believed the truth would keep his family safe.
He was wrong.
His wife is gone.
His son cannot accept her loss.
And someone is still watching.
When Ellie’s final documentary is released without warning, it raises questions that can't be answered--and turns Philip into a suspect. Colleagues distance themselves. Friends disappear. The life Philip thought he understood begins to collapse--again.
Desperate for answers, he turns to the film she left behind—studying it frame by frame, searching for what she was trying to reveal… and who she was trying to expose.
What he finds reaches far beyond New York—into a network of quiet power, hidden alliances, and decisions made far from public view.
Then a message arrives. It offers the truth, at a price.
In the Zone of Deceit, the price is always too high.
It will take all he has left.
